2023 Bomb Threat Festival Begins
At approximately 6:55 this morning, students woke up to a familiar sound, the trumpets that mark the beginning of the annual bomb threat festival. At 9:23, precisely the ending time of period 1, students were told they could reenter the building leading many to suspect foul play by someone who really hates their first period. Students were sent to the football field as they arrive at the school. When asked if this was safe, Ezra Zibel, a Silver Splinter correspondent said "No." We are also receiving reports that a helicopter arrived above the high school which was followed by footage from Fox News, which as I understand it is actually accurate at the local level. Celebrations have already begun among students excited to get out of class, however one student told us "Couldn't they have started half an hour earlier so I could sleep at home." Another student told the Silver Splinter that in an unrelated incident several bomb threats had been made to schools in Latvia, to which one August Vanskike said "Well, they do call Blair the Latvia of America so I guess it makes sense." Check out our articles on the subsequent threats to the school.
