The Laws of Commitees

The zeroth law of committees states that, the total efficiency of a committee is inversely proportional to the number of members.

The first law of committees states that, when effort passes into or out of a system (as work, volunteer effort, or material), the amount of effort is not conserved but rather decreases proportionally to the number of committees it passes through.

The second law of committees states that in a closed system, the sum of the committees of the bureaucracy never decreases.

The third law of committees states that the number of committees approaches a constant value as the number of bureaucrats approaches zero.
